Clothes Hangers Project Pasadena 12.6
It may be Southern California, but it’s still cold out! People need to stay warm – so we are doing something tangible about that this coming Sunday in Pasadena!
Big Picture: at the Pasadena Mosaic Gathering on Sunday morning (the 6th), the serveLA table will have a clothing rack with 50 empty hangers on it.
The idea is that we will be asking people to take a hanger, bring it back with a clean, new or gently used coat on it with a $10 gift card in the pocket to a major store the next week. These will be distributed to some of the local organizations serving the homeless in Pasadena.
They just did this project at the Mayan and on the Westside and it went REALLY well. Lets get into the spirit of giving and into the mode of thinking of the things Beyond us that we should care about this Holiday season.
