<p>5 year old Xander wants to help 100 homeless kids have backpacks and  school supplies so they are ready to go to school. Let&#8217;s help him by  donating backpacks packed with school supplies.</p>
<p>All backpacks  will be given to the organization <a href="http://schoolonwheels.org/">School on Wheels</a>, which provides  educational services to homeless children throughout southern  California.</p>
<p>For a homeless child, a backpack and school supplies  are gold. They have no desk to call the&#8230;ir own, no quiet study area, but with a  backpack, they have their own place to keep their own supplies. The  potential of clean paper and colored pencils is a powerful talisman for a  child with so little else in his life. Last year, School on Wheels  provided over 6,000 brand-new backpacks filled with school supplies.</p>

<p>Some of their students recently played at the Hollywood bowl. You&#8217;ve got to see what they are about and see how to contribute!</p>
<p>One way is a benefit concert coming up THIS Saturday, the 21st.</p>
