Project Homeless Connect Glendale – Donations Needed

Here is the info for what is happening with Glendale Project Homeless Connect site.

LOCATION: the Glendale armory located at 220 Colorado St. Glendale CA

TIME: 8:30 am Thursday December 10th

RSVP to ali@mosaic.org or just show up even if you don’t have time to RSVP.

We still need volunteers / Donations for the following:

  • Sock, Coat and Clothing Donations- Bring gently used, laundered clothing, coats and NEW socks with you to the Armory on Thursday.
  • Orientation starts at 8:30 – please be there on time.
  • Assistance picking up tables and chairs on Thursday (or Wed night) to use at the event (if you have a truck and are willing to assist, please call me 760-622-0838)
  • Does anyone have a wireless internet card they can bring? We need to have internet access if possible.
  • Donations of Coffee (ground coffee) and industrial sized coffee filters
  • Donations of Cookies or baked goods
  • Donations of Bottled Water
  • Hosts for the day of the event from 8:30-2:00pm. Bring yourself and a happy attitude.
  • Musicians, dancers and artists to attend and perform the day of – to provide background music, very informal performances for people to watch, and to interact with the homeless clients and assist them with expression by facilitating musical collaboration, and an arts and crafts table. Please bring your instruments, or craft materials and supplies with you. 8:30-2:00pm

We are also looking for volunteers who are trained professionals to provide the following services:

pedicures, manicures, haircuts, massage, chiropractic care, resume or job search assistance (with laptop computers), dental assessments, bicycle repair. You will need to bring your own equipment, tools and extension cords. You can just plan to attend and bring the tools you need from 8:30-2:00 if you are interested in serving in that capacity.
